We have prioritised reducing our environmental impact for some time from small changes to large, including developing new environmentally friendly products. Having made some big changes we wanted to understand what else we could do. We chose to certify with the Planet Mark because they already had a number of key blue chip companies and the experience of helping companies like ourselves make further big steps forward. They are experts in employee engagement.
Due to our certification, we have far greater clarity on where we are, where we want to go and how we can get there. Our staff are excited by the Planet Mark, by the proof we are making genuine change, and for the first time we have people in the office now approaching us to be involved in the environmental projects coming up. We can now objectively show how we have improved our performance, something important to our clients and partners.
As well as improving our environmental impact we were able to significantly reduce costs; reductions that more than covered the initial investment.
