AIS BMS, part of the Acorn Engineering Group, has been shortlisted for the Partner in Sustainability category at the PFM Awards, the facilities management industry annual awards ceremony.

Dashwood House energy reduction pilot shortlisted for PFM sustainability award

AIS BMS is a dedicated Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) maintenance and energy solutions company. It is part of The Planet Mark-certified Acorn Engineering Group (AEG). The Planet Mark™ is a sustainability certification awarded to businesses that show continuous improvement in their sustainability.

AIS BMS was picked as a finalist in the Partner in Sustainability category for the PFM Awards 2016 for its ground-breaking energy reduction pilot across six London buildings owned by Land Securities. The Dashwood House (pictured) pilot scheme, carried out in partnership with NG Bailey, targeted a 15 per cent reduction in energy consumption compared to a 2014 baseline.

Mike Witchell, managing director of AIS BMS, commented: ‘We are thrilled by this news that our submission has been narrowed down to the final three for the Partners in Sustainability award. It demonstrates the commitment to our partners and also our dedication to sustainability.”

As part of the AEG, AIS BMS has been certified to The Planet Mark™ since 2014. In 2015, the group achieved a 10.7% reduction in its absolute carbon footprint and a 15.6% cut in its carbon emissions per employee compared to the previous year.

The news that AIS BMS has been shortlisted in the PFM Awards Sustainability category comes as AEG launches a new suite of websites to better articulate the group’s distinct services and brands.

The winners of the PFM Awards will receive their trophies at ceremony to be held on November 2 at The Brewery, Chiswell Street in London.
