eco-eco Stationery cuts carbon by a third to secure The Planet Mark certification

eco-eco Stationery, a company which supplies stationery products with high eco-credentials, has achieved certification to The Planet Mark.

This is eco-eco Stationery’s second year of business carbon footprint reporting and certification to The Planet Mark. eco-eco Stationery’s total carbon footprint in the year ending December 2019 was 8.0 tCO2e, a reduction of 33.7% from last year, and the relative carbon footprint was 4.0 tCO2e per employee, a reduction of 33.7% from last year.

It first calculated the carbon footprint of its Stourbridge operational site for the year ending December 2018 and set a target to reduce emissions by 5% annually. This year’s footprint includes emissions from purchased electricity, transmission and distribution losses, water, waste, business travel and paper for its office. Electricity emissions decreased by 31% and business travel emissions decreased by 45%.

Certification to The Planet Mark is based on the commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability in its business operations by measuring and reducing its carbon footprint and engaging its stakeholders.

eco-eco aims to lead the way in making environmentally friendly stationery products the norm and not the exception. Founded in 2015, the company supply stationery products with high eco credentials at no additional cost to the consumer. Its products come with a number of promises: that the environmental credentials are clearly labelled, are made with a minimum of 50% recycled content and can be 100% recycled, all without compromising on quality. The company itself partners with low-carbon distributors minimises waste in packaging and engages with its supply chain to ensure the products are sustainably sourced.
