Incubeta UK, a digital marketing solution provider specialising in the areas of media and technology has achieved The Planet Mark, a sustainability certification which requires its holders to reduce carbon emissions, engage stakeholders and communicate results.
Incubeta has included the carbon footprint of its London and Manchester operational sites and with support from The Planet Mark has set a target to reduce carbon emissions by 5% annually. This year’s footprint includes emissions from purchased electricity, transmission and distribution losses, water, business travel and printing paper for its offices.
Steve Malkin, Founder and CEO of The Planet Mark, commented: “I’m so pleased to have Incubeta join us at The Planet Mark. I can sense a true desire to create a sustainable business at the agency. A willingness to embrace change is central to the success of any modern business. The positive impacts are plain to see, and the engagement in sustainability from the team is truly inspiring. Incubeta have the creative power to connect with stakeholders across the world, and I hope that the agency’s sustainability journey can become an integral part of its business in the future.”
Luke Judge, CEO of Incubeta UK & US, said: “We’re so excited about what embarking on this journey with The Planet Mark will bring. This partnership is a great opportunity for us to continuously improve as a business when it comes to our carbon footprint, by making sustainability one of our key business priorities in the UK for 2020 and beyond.”
Certification to The Planet Mark augments an already impressive sustainability agenda at Incubeta. The agency recently took part in a virtual Kickstarter workshop with The Planet Mark to engage the wider team in their carbon reduction aspirations.
Additionaly, Incubeta’s Sustainability Committee was formed in early 2019, in recognition of its staff’s individual environmental efforts and to champion change across the business from a leadership perspective.
Working with First Mile, Incubeta has implemented a comprehensive recycling and waste scheme. Its Old Street office is in a BREEAM Excellent rated building, with its energy sourced from renewable and gas supply, offset using carbon credits.
