GreenZone Cleaning and Support Services

As mentioned in the Planet First article for the CBI’s Great Business Debate, providing green services to enable other businesses to become ‘greener’ is an important and growing area. GreenZone Cleaning and Support Services provide expert cleaning services whilst minimising the environmental impact of their operations.

For the third year, GreenZone has achieved The Planet Mark, this time with a 3.7% reduction in carbon footprint per employee.

Steve Trew, MD of GreenZone commented, “We are thrilled that our work to improve sustainability at our head offices has been validated by The Planet Mark for the third year running. This unique business certification has to be the way forward for all companies seeking to demonstrate their meaningful commitment to the environment and sustainability.”

Over the last year GreenZone has implemented PIR lighting into part of the main office. They have also switched to using low impact refrigerant in the air conditioning and have adjusted the systems and controls to run efficiently.

Steve Malkin, CEO Planet First noted, ‘By achieving The Planet Mark certification, GreenZone is showing that businesses should run in a sustainable way as well as providing environmentally friendly products and services. Accomplishing a 28% reduction in carbon footprint per employee in 2013 and continuing to reduce on that in 2014 demonstrates their commitment to sustainability.’
