EVORA, a consultancy offering sustainability, software, and technical engineering services, have achieved certification to The Planet Mark for the sixth consecutive year.
This is EVORA’s sixth year of business carbon footprint reporting and certification to The Planet Mark.
EVORA’s total carbon footprint in year ending August 2019 was 26 1 tCO2e, an increase of 93.5% from the year ending 2018. The relative carbon footprint was 0.8% tCO2e per employee, an increase of 48.6% compared to the year ending 2018. The increase in total carbon figures is attributed to the growth of the business. Certification to The Planet Mark is based on its three year average carbon reduction per turnover of 31.1%.
It first calculated the carbon footprint of its office operations for the year ending August 2014 and set a target to reduce emissions by 5% annually This year’s footprint includes emissions from natural gas (purchased electricity (Bolton and Birmingham), water (London), business travel (Bolton and Birmingham) and waste (Bolton and Birmingham).
EVORA also calculated its Social Value contribution. EVORA’s Social Value contribution in the year ending 2019 was £454,644 It reported on 10 Social Value measures with the top two contributors being employing local employees and offering apprenticeships.
