Petroc™ is a Devon’s leading college, providing a range of courses including apprenticeships, higher education, part time and adult evening classes. It has three campuses: Barnstaple, Tiverton, and Brannams. This is Petroc™’s third year of business carbon footprint reporting and certification to The Planet Mark. It first calculated the carbon footprint of its campuses for the year ending March 2017 and set a target to reduce emissions by 5% annually. This year’s footprint includes emissions from natural gas, purchased electricity, fleet, water, waste and paper for its 3 campuses sites: Barnstaple, Tiverton, and Brannams. Petroc™’s total carbon footprint in year ending March 2019 was 1,260.5 tCO2e, a decrease of 25.6% from YE 2018. The relative carbon footprint was 0.07 tCO2e per staff and student, a decrease of 25.6% compared to YE 2018.
