This is Phoenix Managed Services’ first year of business carbon footprint reporting and certification to The Planet Mark. Phoenix Managed Services’ total carbon footprint in the year ending December 2019 was 616.8 tCO2e and the relative carbon footprint was 68.5 tCO2e per employee and 254.9 tCO2e per £ million of turnover. 

It first calculated the carbon footprint of its Pitstone head office for the year ending December 2019 and set a target to reduce emissions by 5% annually. This year’s footprint includes emissions from purchased electricity, transmission and distribution losses, natural gas, water, waste, fleet travel, business travel, printing paper and courier procurement. 

Courier procurement accounts for 93% of the total carbon emissions, fleet travel accounts for 4.3%. Scope 3 emissions accounts for 95% of total emissions.
