Team Prevent, a provider of occupational health and safety focusing on improving employee wellbeing and delivering statutory compliance, has achieved certification to The Planet Mark.
This is Team Prevent’s first year of business carbon footprint reporting and certification to The Planet Mark. It first calculated the carbon footprint of its Towcester Head Office Operations for the year ending December 2019 and set a target to reduce emissions by 5% annually.
Team Prevent’s total carbon footprint in the year ending December 2019 was 102.6 tCO2e and the relative carbon footprint was 1.5 tCO2e per employee. If Team Prevent achieves its carbon reduction goal, it will save carbon the equivalent of 12,500 miles in an average car.

Team Prevent has taken a number of measures to become more sustainable. As well as committing to a reduction of carbon emissions by 5% annually, the company has pledged to protect an acre of rainforest with the conservation charity Cool Earth. The company is also contributing to four Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and five SDG targets.
Sustainability presents an opportunity that must be capitalised on for B2B businesses. CEOs and business leaders consistently rank sustainability and climate change as one of the most pressing concerns for modern companies. B2B businesses must take note of the growing need for businesses to demonstrate a sustainable supply chain. A robust and measurable set of policies surrounding B2B businesses’ impact on the planet will not only help assure existing client bases of a company’s social responsibility, but it will also be a useful tool in future client acquisition.
