Sector: Office Fit Out
Wiles Greenworld, described by the Sunday Times as the second greenest company in the UK, is proud to support the Planet Mark/Eden Project initiative. We're in the business of providing London's offices with all the supplies they need to operate smoothly, reliably and cost effectively. The difference is the lengths we go to in reducing the impact on the environment - for all our sakes, today and tomorrow.
Initiatives such as collecting recycling free of charge add value to the partnership we build with our customers. By supplying everything from stationery and printing through to break room, furniture and facilities management equipment we reduce the number of suppliers our customers have to deal with and the number of deliveries they have to receive. The confidential shredding service does carry a competitive charge but by collecting other waste streams, including old IT equipment, free of charge, as a backload we not only save our customers money but also remove the environmental harm from all those waste industry vehicles. It just makes sense.
Our work along the whole value chain means that we spend a lot of time finding out what we are supplying and where it has come from and that is knowledge we share with our customers to help them target and reduce impact further. What's so great about buying a recycled product if you then discover it's been shipped five thousand miles and produced in a factory with questionable labour and environmental standards? We believe that openness, honesty and, transparency are crucial elements in building trust and demonstrating integrity.
Most of all though, we love helping our customers, not only by reducing the financial and environmental costs of running their business but also by sharing our passion and knowledge with our customers' green teams. Of course if you then want to put in place a formal management system to drive ongoing improvements, that's fine too - BSI have awarded us Associate Consultant status.
