Following the outcome of the UK’s referendum in favour of leaving the European Union, Planet First says it will make the business case for action on climate change even more strongly.

UK votes to leave EU

Steve Malkin, CEO of Planet First and founder of The Planet Mark™, commented: “The country has spoken and so has the Prime Minister.

“Some will have woken this morning feeling euphoric and others disappointed.

“This is a momentous day and the uncertainty will be disruptive as organisations come to terms with how leaving the EU affects them. I am sure it will affect decision-making and the economy for a period of time.

“For that reason, we favour from the outset a period of calm, of reflection and sound planning.

“Our mission as a business remains the same. We will still convince and support people and companies that the need for action on climate change and sustainable living is imperative, urgent and good for them.

“Arguably the referendum result makes it even more important that we make our case even more strongly and passionately.

“It’s a transformational time and we’ll be there to play our part.”
