Resource is the world leading event on corporate strategies around resource security and the circular economy. A three day conference-lead trade show that is a neighbour of Ecobuild, the show has 120 speakers across two theatres, 20 workshops, 80 exhibitors and over 11,000 visitors.

This year, Planet First will capture the carbon data associated with the event and measure Resource’s carbon footprint. This is the first time that Resource has measured its carbon footprint and in doing so is achieving The Planet Mark sustainability certification with the aim to reduce its carbon footprint by 5% in 2016.

Resource is free to attend, and is held at London’s ExCeL on 3-5th March 2015.

Steve Malkin, CEO Planet first commented, ‘Business sustainability and the circular economy are becoming increasingly inseparable. As resources become scarcer, it is critical for businesses to function in a circular economy to improve sustainability. In measuring their carbon footprint through The Planet Mark, Resource are creating an environment for knowledge sharing and innovation whilst recognising the need to reduce their energy, water and waste and produce this conversation in a sustainable environment.

The event is the first to attract and connect every major sector of the circular economy, from designer through to manufacturer, retailer and the recovery community.

It’s completely cross-sector, assimilating innovation from construction, automotive, aerospace, textiles and the electronics industries.
