Description:  

We are looking for a data analyst to assist our certification team. You will be dealing with complex datasets and high volumes of data, as well as using multiple sources to collate data and produce reports. 

The ideal candidate will be positive, enthusiastic, have a high attention to detail and a passion for numbers and sustainability.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Analyse client carbon and social value data to ensure it has been correctly processed 
  • Liaise with customers to request data to fill gaps 
  • Generate sustainability reports (PowerPoint) to present carbon and social value data 
  • Maintain and improve existing data analysis tools and reports 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience 

  • Highly numerate and have excellent attention to detail to support our robust certification 
  • Have a passion for data, analytics and sustainability 
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Experience of generating reports and proficient in formatting  
  • Have excellent time management and organisational skills and can deliver quality work to agreed deadlines, maintaining clear focus under pressure is a must 
  • Strong team player as well as a proactive individual contributor 
  • Ability to use initiative and work with the minimum of supervision 

Preferred Skills & Experience 

  • At least two years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Degree or qualifications in sustainability, mathematics or statistics 
  • Auditing qualifications 
  • Knowledge of Salesforce / Sofi Sustainability (on Salesforce) 
  • Previous experience within the sustainability industry is desirable (but not essential) 
  • Experience of calculating a carbon footprint 
  • Consulting and client management experience 

This is a full or part time position, working remotely with weekly team meetings in central London expected to resume either late 2020 or early 2021 

Salary: £22,000-23,000 FTE, dependant on experience.

Senior LCA Consultant

Description:  

We are looking for a senior lifecycle assessment (LCA) consultant with experience delivering whole life carbon assessments for the built environment and corporate carbon reporting to join our growing certification team.  You will be responsible for delivering lifecycle assessments of buildings and our new development certification along with working with SMEs and large corporates, delivering carbon footprint analyses, verifications, SECR submissions, scope 3 carbon analysis and much more.   

The ideal candidate will be positive, enthusiastic, have a high attention to detail and a passion for numbers and sustainability and excellent customer relationship skills.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver built environment LCAs for industrial, residential and other building types 
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders in the built environment sector to deliver The Planet Mark New Development Certification 
  • Manage the delivery of New Development Certification internally and externally 
  • Project and team management – particularly in 2021 to cover the maternity leave of our Head of Certification 
  • Conduct carbon footprint assessments and reporting using sustainability management software for our wide range of clients as they aim to achieve The Planet Mark 
  • Conduct verifications of GHG assessments and non-financial reporting 
  • Project management and delivery of sustainability consulting including scope 3 carbon analysis, SECR, sustainability engagement, research and policy  

Knowledge, Skills & Experience 

  • Positive, “can-do” attitude  
  • Experience in delivering whole-life carbon assessments for buildings, with working knowledge of standards EN 15878, WRI GHG Protocol, PAS 2050, PAS 2080, amongst others 
  • Experience in sustainability in the built environment, including knowledge of UKGBCs net-zero carbon framework  
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate sustainability and environmental management 
  • Experienced account manager, used to delivering presentations and workshops to customers 
  • Experience in carbon footprint accounting and knowledge of greenhouse gas reporting and standards e.g. GHG Protocol, ISO 14064 
  • Experience in audit/verifications of corporate carbon footprints using ISO 14064-3 
  • Experience in preparing and winning proposals and projects for bespoke sustainability consulting 
  • Comfortable calling and meeting with a range of clients and customers to discuss carbon footprinting and sustainability consulting  
  • Strong mathematical and analytical background 
  • Excellent project management skills 
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and excellent IT skills 
  • Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail 
  • A team player with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines  

Preferred Skills & Experience 

  • Working knowledge of the RICS NZC Construction minimum reporting template  
  • Experience in delivery of post occupancy evaluations (POE) in the property or industrial sector 
  • Knowledge of SECR, experience in scope 3 screening, development and delivery of sustainability strategies for businesses  
  • Experience working with large, multinational companies, either in house or as consultancy 
  • Experience in sustainability engagement and communications  
  • Experience with sustainability software e.g. Sofi Salesforce 
  • Industry qualification (e.g. IEMA)

Description:  

We are looking for a Digital Content Marketing Executive to support the Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager, and working alongside the Marketing Executive in delivering the marketing strategy and plan, and ‘Communicate’ step of certification through The Planet Mark. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support and maintain a comprehensive content plan in line with business goals and marketing strategy, across all our channels (incl. Blogs, long-form evergreen content, infographics, white papers, case studies, newsletters, videos, social media, short vignettes, digital campaigns, podcasts, events and webinars). 
  • Source and co-ordinate suitable external content providers. Build and maintain relationships with new and existing external content partners, in line with the content plan. 
  • Research, recommend and develop the re-use of marketing collateral across multiple media. 
  • Review material and identify core facts/content for use across multiple outputs.  
  • Identify opportunities for new initiatives, campaigns, propositions or messaging and make recommendations for approval. 
  • Research, shape and plan campaigns for testing new propositions. 
  • Write Award submissions. 
  • Structure storyboards and scripts for videos. 
  • Support Management Team in exposure as thought leaders. 
  • Support Head of Marketing with product roadmap for content marketing. 
  • Support external PR Agency with content for opportunities with media. 

Skills and Knowledge – Essential 

  • A great B2B content writer – able to produce appealing and engaging content for the reader/viewer/listener, which is grammatically correct and of a very high standard. 
  • Outstanding ability to take great copy and convert for using across a variety of digital platforms.
  • Understanding of SEO and content marketing. 
  • Knowledge of marketing, communications, digital and social channels. 
  • Proficient use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, plus have the ability to quickly learn/adopt new technology. 
  • Well organised and able to shape plans from brief outlines. 
  • Able to quickly understand the products and services of the business and be willing to learn more about our market. 
  • Ability to understand the bigger picture and support meaningful plans which align with the wider goals. 

Skills and Knowledge – Desirable  

  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and demands, in a fast-paced environment with a hugely variable timetable. 
  • Great relationship builder, influencer and collaborator. 
  • Competency in the use of WordPress is an advantage. 
  • Competency in Adobe Creative Cloud (in particular InDesign and PhotoShop) is an advantage. 
  • Understanding of B2B2C and how to engage with an individual to encourage action. 

Experience 

  • One years-experience in a marketing role. 
  • It is desirable that you come from an editorial or copywriting background in the form of either PR, internal communications or journalism with a focus and/or demonstrable interest in sustainability and cultural transformation.  
  • Experience in digital content writing is essential.
